Italian Artist Blu painted this on the backwall of the Theatre National de Bretagne (National Theater of Brittany) in Rennes (West of France). He painted it on the demand of the theater because they had a play starting called : Marx, un racconto d’inverno.
From the theatre website :
„MARX, UN RACCONTO D’INVERNO
Can the historic and conceptual figure of Karl Marx lend himself to a sensitive and poetic approach through the prism of childhood, albeit a fierce one? This is the challenge facing Silvano Voltolina, a close collaborator of Romeo Castellucci, in a singular approach beginning with the creation of a fresco in the urban space. Its design and reali- sation have been entrusted to Blù, an artist at the forefront of international urban art. The play, which is continued in a theatre, is inspired by events in the private life of the Marx family during the first few years of their life in London. It follows the structure of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale which tells of the consequences of children being betrayed by their fathers.“
Studio Cromie will release a print of this amazing piece soon. Here is a first look on it:
