JR, Winner of the TED Award 2011, made a visit to New York. Here are some pics of the projects he made there.
FAILE mural at Houston x Bowery
The Goldman wall has been changed over in over in the last two years after the famous Keith Haring piece had been removed. Artists like Os Gemeos, Kenny Scharf, Shepard Fairey, Barry Mc Gee-& Josh Lazcono and JR worked on this wall. Now its the artist collective Faile showing their project on the historical wall.

The aim of this exhibition is to examine the history of street art and graffiti and to show how an underground form of expression that began in the 1970s became what it is today…a major art movement! Art in the Streets will show installations by 50 artists including some of the legends of the movement like Swoon, Shepard Fairey, Os Gemeos and JR.

We are delighted to present JR’s first solo show at Lazarides, ‘28 Millimetres: WOMEN.’
The show will take place in both the Greek Street and Charing Cross galleries and in the surrounding streets. Including new originals and a site specific installation.
