Stik People occupy London
Subway Gallery, “SINGLE Stik”, Solo exhibition by Stik

Stik has been creating Stik people around London for over ten years, although androgynous and drawn from simple shapes, they are capable of conveying emotions, feelings and a complex body language.
On first sight the cheerful characters are simply here to beautify the street but they also carry deeper meanings.
Stik the artist himself was homeless for a period and you can detect in his art ideas relating to human weakness or vulnerability.

Introducing BASE23
During my Visit at Stroke artfair last year i met Base23 and was amazed by his artwork immediately. He describes himself: ” The RAL-Galaxia and their life forms were discovered by me in 2008 after doing research in the laboratories for about 17,5 years in the aerosol universe. Since then the color machines and animals have landed on planet earth to make our daily environment more colorful. ”
BASE23 lives and works in Berlin and has exhibited in Barcelona, London, Melbourne, Paris, Berlin and several German cities. BASE23 started with graffiti in 1989 and went on to study, majoring in graphic design/typography.

Unlike U
“Unlike U” is a documentation about the trainwriter scene in Berlin.
The film shows material from the last six years and gives a deep insight into a world of artists that is normally closed to non members.

Lego meets Urban Art
Lego Graffiti Pioneer Cole Blaq was one of the first who build three dimensional styles out of Lego bricks. Cole Blaq´s work is surprisingly fresh, almost provoking sometimes, and the objects are of high refinement, very well thought to the last detail.
Cole Blaq is showing his work in the pretty portal gallery at the moment.

The event will give a place to the showcases of 55 galleries, presenting urban art.
