Xenz also known as Graeme Brusby have been practicing graffiti art for 20 years. Now he works together with TCF, one of the UK’s longest standing and most respected graffiti crews. He paints landscapes from his imagination using the spray can to capture fragments of memory and ever-changing subject matter, often drawn from the natural world, so that the word graffiti no longer sufficiently describes what he does.

In Douglas’ work family life is a staged performance, animals are manifestations of human emotion. Intertextuality has become the foundation for the development of his distinctive style. The result is a sophisticated visual language where personal metaphors begin to communicate universal truths.
The work is divided into two groups: a set of images on panels, and a set of images on paper.

Kelsey Brookes “Caped Creatures” – Solo Show

Kelsey Brookes is a former biochemist who lives by the beach of San Diego, California. He attributes his raw art style to an education system “that refuses to teach scientists to draw.” He abandoned biochemistry and science’s loss became art’s gain. The works potency arguably lies in the way its clash of ancient and ultra-modern references downplay sex and death, which are featured heavily in the work. Brookes describes his art as “an unrefined and, some would say, unskilled mix of sex, comedy and animals which is derived from a true passion for all three, except not necessarily all at the same time.”

‘FOUND’ – Hush Solo Show
‘FOUND’ – Hush Solo Show

Private View 19th November 2010
presented by White Walls Gallery (SF)
at ANGEL ORENSANZ FOUNDATION, FOR CONTEMPORARY ART, 172 Norfolk St., New York, NY 10002.

Found, marks Hush’s New York debut exhibition that deepens his exploration of the resulting emergences brought about by the evanescent quality of street art. Appreciating and identifying the remains of past tags as points of expression, the artist transitions this influence to his work that he refers to as “action painting” or “pure expressionism”. In his new collection, Hush remains influenced by the escape from the constraints of traditions, the contrasts between old and new, the past meeting the future and the fusion of Eastern and Western culture.

REMED Solo Show at Pretty Portal Gallery
France has long been a breeding ground for unusual street art and graff styles. It is no wonder that the work of the French urban artist REMED are surprisingly different and fresh.

REMED mixes graphical style of the seventies, the “New Image” of the eighties, typography and Graffti to his very independ and individual imagery. His works are timeless, to the point, but full of spirit and zeitgeist. Like a time warp his pictures include the imagery of the last forty years.
His work and murals can be found in many publications that deal with the issue of street art. REMED is currently one of the popular urban artists. This year is work was shown already in the Carhardt Gallery in Madrid at AVIA PREVIA in Bologna and in the PURE EVIL Gallery in London.
