New Banksy in London ?
A new Banksy seems to have been spotted in Turnpike Lane London, broaching the issue of child labour, punctual to Queen Elisabeth’s Diamond Jubilee.
The mural is set next to a store that caused an uproar a couple of years ago: A young boy was forced to work for a sweatshop, producing goods for about 100 hours weekly.

Introducing: Pau Quintanajornet
Born in Chile, Pau Quintanajornet today lives and works in Cologne and is one of the few well-known female streetartists in Germany. Pau prefers the direct color application by brush and spends a lot of time with the walls she is working on. The colorful and delicate murals and wood works mostly deal with the quest for identity and the meaning of life. In this spirit, her mostly female characters represent human emotional states, such as love, melancholy and courage. To convey her messages, the young artist makes use of the contrast between day and night, both with their specific patterns and opposed colors.
Pau Quintanajornet is also part of the crew “Turronas“. Their work depict each members unique style harmonizing perfectly with each other.

Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada – Identity Series Projects
As founder of the New York Culture Jamming movement and an innovator in the international urban art scene, Cuban American artist Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada creates works that aim for bringing awareness to relevant social issues.
Lately, the artist went to the insular state of Bahrain to create a new breathtaking mural, featuring a Bahraini fisherman named Yousif, in Manama. The work is part of the Alwan 338 Festival presented by the Al Riwaq Art Space.
As an extra, you can see the mural’s creation process in the following video:
Quote artist:
“It is easy to make a political cartoon, but it is much more difficult to create contemporary art. There are few Bahraini artists creating profound work about this multilayered place and time. Al Riwaq Art Space is trying to change that and I have nothing but admiration for their efforts. My Identity Series murals fade away with the wind and rain. I decided to create a mural of a traditional Bahraini fisherman, one of a few hundred that are left.”
